From Cologne Central Station
Take the underground line 16 or 18 to the stop “Neumarkt”. Connect with tram no. 9 in the direction of “Sülz” and exit at the stop “Dasselstr./Bf Süd”.
Ticket machines are located on the platforms as well as in the trains. Buy a ticket "Preisstufe 1b". The journey takes about 20 minutes. A taxi ride from Central Station to the Institute costs about 13 euros.
If your train with German Railways (Deutsche Bahn) stops at Köln-Süd, you do not have to get off at Cologne Central Station but you can go directly to Köln-Süd (you do not have to buy another ticket) and take the exit "Zülpicher Straße".

From “Köln Messe/Deutz” Station
Take tram no. 9 in the direction of “Sülz” to the stop “Dasselstr./Bf Süd” (6 stops). Ticket machines are located on the platforms as well as in the trains. Buy a ticket "Preisstufe 1b". A taxi ride from Deutz station to the Institute costs about 16 euros.
